Christopher Lloyd, Reed Birney, and More Join Shakespeare & Company 2023 Season

Reed Birney and Karen Allen will lead the world premiere of a new Donald Margulies play.

Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, has announced casting for its 46th season of productions, running May 26-October 22.

The world premiere of Donald Margulies’s Lunar Eclipse (September 15-October 22) will feature Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Tony winner Reed Birney (The Humans). James Warwick directs.

Jacob Ming-Trent (Merry Wives) will appear as Bottom in Allyn Burrows’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (August 1-September 10). The cast will also include Shakespeare & Company veterans Elizabeth Aspenlieder, Gina Fonseca, Nigel Gore, Sara Linares, Madeleine Rose Maggio, Naire Poole, and Michael F. Toomey.

Three-time Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd (Taxi) and two-time Emmy nominee Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story: Freak Show) will come to the Berkshires as well for three performances of Hamlet: A Staged Reading (September 1-3). Founding Shakespeare & Company member Kevin G. Coleman will direct.
