British stage and screen star Christopher Eccleston will star opposite Chris Hemsworth in Alan Taylor’s film Thor: The Dark World, according to Deadline.com.
He will play the villainous Malekith the Accursed in the film.
Eccleston most recently appeared on the London stage in Antigone. His many film and television credits include Doctor Who, The Shadow Line, Othello, Shallow Grave, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.
