Miller and Tysen are the authors of the musicals ”Tuck Everlasting” and ”The Burnt Part Boys”.
Tuck Everlasting and The Burnt Part Boys songwriters Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen were presented with the 10th annual Fred Ebb Award at a ceremony at the American Airlines Theatre on December 1. Named in honor of the late Tony-winning lyricist Fred Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago) the award recognizes excellence in musical theater songwriting and comes with a $50,000 award and a one-night-only showcase of the winner's work. On hand to present the award to Miller and Tysen were Tony winner Chita Rivera (whose collaborations with Ebb included Chicago, The Rink, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and The Visit) and John Kander, Ebb's longtime writing partner.
