Celebrity Chef Todd English to Join Michael Musto, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and More in The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips

The world premiere performance will also feature Chaske Spencer, David Cale, and Flotilla DeBarge.

Chaske Spencer and celebrity chef Todd English have been added to the cast of the world premiere performance of The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, which will play at Joe's Pub on May 2. Additional cast members include writer Michael Musto, David Cale, drag performer Flotilla DeBarge, and Broadway's Daphne Rubin-Vega (A Streetcar Named Desire).

The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips is a rock opera written by Kenyon Phillips that uses an interactive rock-cabaret-variety show format to tell the story of one colorful New Yorker's life and eventual death.

Phillips is a singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ. In addition to founding and fronting the bands Roma!, Unisex Salon, and Thrill A Minute, Kenyon has written and produced songs for Amy Poehler, Joey Arias, Raven O, and Sherry Vine. Backed by his all-girl band The Ladies In Waiting, Kenyon regularly performs at Joe's Pub. His debut solo EP Fire in the Hole was released in September 2013.
