Stage star Mamie Gummer will make another guest appearance on the hit CBS drama The Good Wife, according to TVGuide.com. She will once again play a prosecutor on the series,.which will return to the air for its second season on Tuesday, September 28 at 10pm.
The Good Wife stars Emmy Award winner and Broadway veteran Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florick, a 40-something woman who returns to her legal career after her politician husband is jailed after a scandal. Margulies has already won the Golden Globe and SAG Award for her performance and is nominated for an Emmy Award.
As previously reported on TheaterMania, stage and screen stars Scott Porter Michael Ealy, Dallas Roberts, Tammy Blanchard, Anika Noni Rose, Chris Sarandon, and Bobby Steggert will reportedly appear on the show,
The show’s supporting cast includes such theater veterans as Chris Noth, Christine Baranski, Alan Cumming, Josh Charles, Graham Phillips, and Mary Beth Peil.
Season one guest stars included numerous stage veterans, including Dylan Baker — who received a 2010 Emmy Award nomination for his role — as well as Martha Plimpton, Denis O’Hare, Karen Olivo, Carrie Preston, and Jessica Hecht.
