Cats Star Mamie Parris Presides Over A Dog Story Wedding

A Dog Story, a new musical now running at the Davenport Theatre, hosted a dog wedding earlier today for bride Winnie (a Chihuahua Terrier mix) and groom Jasper (a Yorkie Maltese). The proceedings were officiated by none other than Broadway's Grizabella from Cats (Mamie Parris).

Featuring a score by Gayla D. Morgan and book by Eric H. Weinberger, A Dog Story follows Roland, a career-driven lawyer, who thinks he must be married to make partner. To solve his dilemma, he gets a puppy as a chick magnet.

The cast, directed by Justin Baldridge, features David Perlman (Baby It's You!) as Roland, Stefanie Brown (Wicked) as Blair, Lindsie VanWinkle (Nevermore) as Miranda, Brian Ray Norris (Mamma Mia!) as Guy, and Alex Kidder and Chris Blem as the swings.
