Casting information has been announced for
manhattantheatresource’s spring benefit, Spontaneous Combustion: “Family Guy” Style, a program of sketches created on the fly by writers from TV’s hit comedy, Family Guy. The event will take place May 3 at 7pm and 9pm.
Spontaneous Combustion is a 48-hour play festival, in which writers are paired with two actors and given an opening line and a cultural reference that must be used in their sketches. Then, it’s a race against the clock to put together an evening of four to eight minute short plays in less than two days.
The cast will include James Edward Becton, Bill C. Davis, Sarah Doudna, Stuart Green, Kate Middleton, Barbara Mundy, Ridley Parson, and Brandon Ruckdashel.
The benefit will also feature a silent auction and music by Joe Travers. All proceeds benefit manhattantheatresource.
