Carrie Cracknell, Daniel Kramer and Sacha Wares are new associate directors of the Young Vic Theatre, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. The artists will assume their positions next month.

The trio will not only contribute to the theater’s programming and planning processes, but will also facilitate activities for the company’s outreach department and mentor young directors on the venue’s Directors Program. Simultaneously, each will continue with their current work. Cracknell is co-artistic director of the Gate Theatre, Wares is an associate director of the Royal Court, and Kramer works as a freelance theater and opera director.

The Young Vic has also announced that current associate director Joe Hill-Gibbins will assume the new role as Genesis Fellow and deputy artistic director. In this position, he will support artistic director David Lan in all aspects of the work of the theater while continuing to direct. Hill-Gibbins’ next production will be the first major London revival of Martin McDonagh’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane in July.
