Silver Spring Stage has announced casting for its production of Diana Son’s Stop Kiss, to play June
29-July 21.
Son’s 1999 play is the story of two straight women who meet through a ‘ friend of a friend’ and must wrestle with their attraction to each other. The play, told non-chronologically, bounces back and forth through time around an act of violence that proceeds the culmination of their relationship.
With direction by Chris Curtis, the cast includes Cara Duckworth (Callie), Caity Brown (Sara), David Dieudonné (George), Adam Adkins (Peter), Steven Dougherty (Detective Cole), and Shelley Rochester (Mrs. Winsley/Nurse). Set design is by Daniel Flint, lighting by James Robertson, sound by Kevin Garrett Coupar, and properties by Sonya Okin.
