Broadway's Cabaret Announces Upcoming National Tour Stops

Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming national tour of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall's Tony-winning production of Cabaret has announced its tour stops.

The musical will hit the road beginning January 26, 2016, at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island. The tour will continue to more than 20 cities during its first season, including Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre; Chicago's Bank of America Theatre; Miami's Adrienne Arsht Center; Las Vegas' The Smith Center for the Performing Arts; Des Moines' Des Moines Civic Center, and more. Additional locations will be announced.

Casting for the national tour will be revealed in the coming months. The 1998 production earned four Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, and played 2,377 performances before concluding its run on January 4, 2004. The creative team for Cabaret features set design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari, and sound design by Brian Ronan.

The Kander and Ebb musical, based on the stories of Christopher Isherwood and John Van Druten's drama I Am a Camera, runs through March 29 at Studio 54. The revival production, which first opened in 1998, returned to Roundabout's Broadway home in April 2014 with its Tony-winning Emcee Alan Cumming and Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles. Subsequent Sallys included Emma Stone and Sienna Miller, who will close the production.
