Broadway Veteran Paul Binotto to Star in Olney Theatre Center Guys and Dolls

Binotto will play Nathan Detroit alongside Matt Faucher as Sky Masterson and Jessica Lauren Ball as Sarah Brown.

Olney Theatre Center will continue its 2015-16 season with the classic American musical Guys and Dolls, running from November 11-December 27 on the Mainstage. Jerry Whiddon helms the production.

Featuring signature songs like "Luck Be a Lady," "A Bushel and a Peck," and "Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat," Guys and Dolls is a story of old-time gangsters, hot-box girls, and gambling. Based on the short stories of Damon Runyan, Guys and Dolls continues to be a cultural touchstone of lovable wise guys and the women who find themselves romantically entangled with them.

The production will star Matt Faucher as Sky Masterson, Jessica Lauren Ball as Sarah Brown, Broadway veteran Paul Binotto (Starlight Express) as Nathan Detroit, and Lauren Weinberg as Adelaide. They are joined by Tobias Young as Nicely Nicely as well as Olney Theatre Center artistic associates Valerie Leonard and Evan Casey as General Cartwright and Bennie Southstreet.

Rounding out the cast are MaryLee Adams, Ben Cunis, Leo Erickson, Ron Heneghan, Andre Hinds, Jocelyn Isaac, Amanda Kaplan, Ethan Kasnett, Julia Klavans, David Landstrom, Nurney Mason, Richard Pelzman, and Tony Thomas.

Michael Bobbitt choreographs, with Timothy Splain as serving as music director. The creative team also includes Dan Conway (scenic designer), Colin K. Bills (lighting designer), Rosemary Pardee (costume designer), and Jeffrey Dorfman (sound designer).
