Actress and singer Bridget Barkan will perform her new one-woman cabaret act, The Love Junkie, for one night only at Joe's Pub on Saturday, May 31. In the show, Barkan will delve into her storied career and reveal herself in a hilarious night of song, dance, and comedy.
The Love Junkie tells the story of one woman's journey on the road to recovery from sex, love, and codependency. The show is described as "a rollercoaster ride of original and cover songs, performance art, comedy, spoken word, dancing, and unapologetic truth."
Barkan has appeared in many films, including Sherrybaby with Maggie Gyllenhaal and the recently released God's Pocket with Philip Seymour Hoffman. She has also been seen on television, notably in a recurring role on Law & Order: SVU. Barkan has toured the world as a vocalist with the glam/pop band Scissor Sisters.
Joe's Pub has been a venue for showcasing New York City talent since 1998.
