Billy Porter and Stark Sands Return to Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots welcomed back two of its own last night, September 26, when Stark Sands and Billy Porter took their bows as Charlie Price and Lola, the roles they originated when the show first opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in 2013. The pair will will continue performances through January 7, 2018.

Based on the 2005 film, Kinky Boots follows Charlie, who tries to save his recently deceased father's shoe factory from bankruptcy by manufacturing shoes for drag queens. The musical features a score by Grammy Award-winning pop star Cyndi Lauper and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Jerry Mitchell directs and choreographs.

The current cast of Kinky Boots also includes DeLaney Westfall, Daniel Stewart Sherman, Shannon O'Boyle, Marcus Neville, Adinah Alexander, Eugene Barry-Hill, Stephen Berger, Joseph Anthony Byrd, Devin Trey Campbell, Justin Colombo, Christopher Convery, Holly Davis, Stephane Duret, Christy Faber, Mia Gentile, Blair Goldberg, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jake Katzman, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Jeff Kuhr, Eric Leviton, Ellyn Marie Marsh, John Jeffrey Martin, Michael Milkanin, Fred Odgaard, Jake Odmark, Jesus Del Orden, Nathan Peck, Jennifer Perry, Kyle Post, Charlie Sutton, Joey Taranto, and Stephen Tewksbury.
