The stage adaptation is a coproduction with Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company.
Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island, written and directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman. A co-production with Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company, the production is a stage adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel. Performances are set to begin on April 22 in advance of an April 29 opening and will run through June 5.
The cast will star Berkeley Rep veteran Steven Epp as Long John Silver, alongside John Babbo (Jim Hawkins), Matt DeCaro (Squire Trelawny), Travis Delgado (Ensemble), Christopher Donahue (Billy Bones), Kasey Foster (Mrs. Hawkins/Musician), Greg Hirte (Musician), Anthony Irons (Ensemble), Alex Moggridge (Dr. Livesey), Steve Pickering (Black Dog), L.J. Slavin (Musician), Philip R. Smith (Captain Smollett), Demetrios Troy (Israel Hands), and Matthew C. Yee (Ensemble).
The creative team includes Todd Rosenthal (scenic design), Ana Kuzmanic (costume design), T.J. Gerckens (lighting design), and Andre Pluess (original music/sound design).
