Hannah Elless takes us backstage at the Kennedy Center.

In this new video from the Washington D.C. pre-Broadway run of the new Steve Martin-Edie Brickell musical Bright Star, cast member Hannah Elless takes us behind the scenes at The Kennedy Center to learn more about the new show.

Directed by Walter Bobbie, the production will close January 10 at the Kennedy Center before beginning previews at Broadway's Cort Theatre on February 25. The show's Broadway opening night is set for March 24.

Inspired by Brickell and Martin's Grammy-winning album, Love Has Come for You, the musical follows a young soldier who is just home from World War II. With the editor of a Southern literary journal, he discovers a secret that changes their lives. Carmen Cusack stars Alice alongside Paul Alexander Nolan, Tony Award nominee Michael Mulheren, A.J. Shively, Hannah Elless, Tony Award nominee Stephen Bogardus, three-time Tony Award nominee Dee Hoty, Stephen Lee Anderson, Emily Padgett, and Tony Award nominee Jeff Blumenkrantz.
