BAMcinemafest, which will screen a variety of old and new films, will run June 17-July 2 at BAM’s Rose Cinemas. Many of the screenings will be followed by Q&As with participating artists.
Highlights of the festival will include screenings of Sidney Lumet’s film version of the musical The Wiz along with another Diana Ross film, Mahogany; new films including In The Loop, starring James Gandolfini, and The Exploding Girl, starring Zoe Kazan; as well as dreamlover, starring Gina Gershon, The Royal Tennebaums, starring Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, and Gwyneth Paltrow, and Staying Alive, starring John Travolta.
