Antonio Banderas and Baayork Lee will direct a new, Spanish-language production of the musical A Chorus Line to inaugurate Banderas's new theater, Teatro del Soho Caixabank, in Málaga, Spain.

The production will feature Michael Bennett's original choreography, as staged by Lee, with Banderas also taking on an unspecified acting role in the musical. Auditions will be held March 22-April 10, with three months of performances in Málaga this fall, before traveling to Madrid, Barcelona, and then several American states with sizable Spanish-speaking populations.

Conceived and originally directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line features a score by Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban, with a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante.
