Andrew Scott will star in a two-week run of Sea Wall by Simon Stephens at Studio Seaview, October 16-30.

All 19 performances will be shot as a feature film by director Tina Satter (Is This A Room). The resulting product will not only be a record of the play, but a look at the making of the production itself.

Sea Wall will have lighting design by Isabella Byrd and sound design by Ben Williams. For the film, Paul Yee is the Director of Photography and Parker Lutz will be advising on production design.

Scott won Outer Critics, Lucille Lortel, and New York Drama Critics Circle Awards for his performance in Vanya at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2025. He made his Broadway debut in 2006 in David Hare’s The Vertical Hour.

Sea Wall, which was written especially for Scott and first presented at the Bush Theatre in 2008, is a half-hour monologue about a photographer dealing with the sudden death of his child while on vacation.

Scott has performed it several times in the ensuing years, most recently as a lockdown film in 2020, though the work received its New York premiere in 2019 starring Tom Sturridge.
