Amber Iman, Thom Sesma, Kate Jennings Grant, and More Join World Premiere of Black Swan

The new musical will run at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University has announced the cast for the world premiere musical Black Swan, running at the Loeb Drama Center May 26-June 28, with an official opening on June 3.

The cast includes Kyle Brown as Ajay/Ensemble, Jada Simone Clark as Lily, Karli Dinardo as Glory/Ensemble, Kate Jennings Grant as Barbara, Amber Iman as LeRoy, Caleb Marshall as Dylan/Ensemble, Melanie Moore as Nina, Ida Saki as Doppel, Thom Sesma as Jacques/Rothbart, Sarah Sigman as Morgan/Ensemble, and Tory Trowbridge as Beth. Gabriel Hyman, Charizma Lawrence, Adrian Lee, Ava Noble, Martell Ruffin, Anthony Santos, Chelsea Thedinga, and Valeria Yamin are in the ensemble. Alex Aquilino, Cameron Burke, Mia DeWeese, and Johanna Moise are swings. Mehry Eslaminia is an understudy.

As previously announced, the musical Black Swan, based on the 2010 Searchlight Pictures Film with a story by Andres Heinz, features music and lyrics by Obie Award winner Dave Malloy and a book by Guggenheim Fellow Jen Silverman. Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh will direct and choreograph, with music supervision and direction by Or Matias.

The production features scenography by AMP, featuring Marissa Todd, costume design by Shiona Turini, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Kai Harada, hair and wig design by Mia Neal, makeup design by Sarah Cimino, illusion design by Chris Fisher and Skylar Fox, blood design by Lillis Meeh, and fight and intimacy direction by Rocío Mendez.
