The Lookingglass Theatre Company has announced the productions that will be part of its 2010-2011 season, which will open with an adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan (October 20 – December 12), written and directed by Amanda Dehnert.

Early in 2011, the theater will also produce an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s Ethan Frome (February 23 – April 17). The piece, which focuses on the joyless marriage between a New Englander and his wife, is written and directed by Laura Eason.

The third Lookingglass production of the season will be Nicola Behrman, David Kersnar and Abbie Phillips’ The Last Act of Lilka Kadison (June 1 – July 24). Kersnar will direct the play, which centers on a woman in the twilight of her life and her attempts to reconcile with her distant son and fend off ghostly visitations from her irreverent artistic partner and lover from 1939 Poland, even as she relinquishes her independence to an Ethiopian caregiver from Jewish Family Services.
