Abbott Elementary Star Lisa Ann Walter to Join Off-Broadway Heathers Cast

Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter will make her off-Broadway debut as Ms. Fleming/Mrs. Sawyer in Heathers at New World Stages.

Walter replaces Kate Rockwell and begins performances on April 27. In addition to playing teacher Melissa Schemmenti in Abbott Elementary, she also starred in films like The Parent Trap, Shall We Dance?, and Bruce Almighty.

Heathers, based on the 1989 cult film by Daniel Waters, features book, music, and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe.

The production, directed by Andy Fickman, began performances in June, 2025 and recently extended its run for the third time, through September 6.
