A Sign of the Times, Starring Chilina Kennedy and Ryan Silverman, Announces Full Cast

The new musical features a book by Bruce Vilanch.

Full casting has been announced for A Sign of the Times, a new musical featuring the songs of Petula Clark and multiple hit-makers of the 1960s. The musical will run November 28-December 23 at the Delaware Theater Company.

As previously announced, the production will star Chilina Kennedy, Drew Seeley, Crystal Lucas-Perry, and Ryan Silverman. They will be joined by Lauren Boyd, Brad Bradley, Melessie Clark, Steven Grant Douglas, Natalie Charle Ellis, Stacia Fernandez, Phoebe Gavula, Louis James Jackson, Sarah Jenkins, Aaron Kaburick, David LaMarr, Alexandra Matteo, Ralph Meitzler, Nick Picknally, and Dave Schoonover.

Featuring a book by legendary comedy writer and Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch, based on an original story by Richard Robin, the show is directed by Gabriel Barre, with choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter.

A Sign of the Times tells the story of Cindy (Kennedy), a young woman pursuing her passion and finding her voice in New York City in 1965. Set against the backdrop of women's liberation, the civil rights movement, and the Vietnam War, A Sign of the Times features such classic songs as "Downtown," "You Don't Own Me," "Don't Sleep in the Subway," "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)," and "The Boy From New York City." A Sign of the Times played its world-premiere engagement at Goodspeed Musicals in 2016.

Creative team members include Paul Tate DePoo lII (set design), Jennifer Caprio (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), 59 Productions (projection design), Shannon Slaton (sound design), J. Jared Janas (hair design), and Rick Fox (music direction). Lindsey Hope Pearlman is associate director.
