Michael Patrick Walker celebrated the release of Out of Context, from Yellow Sound Label, with a concert at Birdland on November 7, as part of Broadway at Birdland.
Among the participants in the concert were some of the artists featured on the disc, including Julie Foldesi, Peter Friedman, Noah Galvin, Andy Karl, Lauren Kennedy, Andy Mientus, Kenita Miller, Jim Stanek, John Tartaglia, and Betsy Wolfe. Among the attendees at the concert was Chita Rivera.
The disc also features performances by Michael Arden, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Lisa Howard, Cheyenne Jackson, Telly Leung, Anne L. Nathan, Kelli O’Hara, Kerry O’Malley, Kate Wetherhead, and Rachel York.
Walker’s musicals include Altar Boyz, written with Gary Adler, and The Distant Bells.
