Roger Rees and Alex Timbers will once again direct Rick Elice’s Peter and the Starcatcher, when the play with music makes its Broadway debut in Spring 2012 at a theater to be announced.

Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the show will feature a company of twelve actors playing some 50 characters, all on a journey to answer the century-old question: How did Peter Pan become The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up? Casting will be announced at a later date.

Peter and the Starcatcher had its New York premiere Off-Broadway last season at New York Theatre Workshop. The Broadway production will reunite the entire creative team: Wayne Barker (music), Steven Hoggett (movement), Marco Paguia (music direction), Donyale Werle (scenic design), Paloma Young (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), and Darron L. West (sound design).

The Off-Broadway production received five Drama Desk nominations (and a win for Outstanding Music in a Play); two Obie Awards (for Direction and Design) and two Lucille Lortel Awards (for Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Choreography).
