MITF Accepting Submissions Now Through February 21

The Midtown International Theatre Festival has announced the deadline for script submission to its sixth annual festival. The festival organizers will accept “just about any interesting and deserving project — from new to classical, intimate to spectacular.”

Said John Chatterton, executive director of the MITF, “I don’t have any hard and fast rules when it comes to the type of projects we put on. I only care that it’s work of quality.” Over the past five years, the MITF has presented works of all genres, including musicals, dance pieces, dramas, comedies, one-person shows, and classical plays.

The Sixth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival will be be presented from July 18 through August 7, 2005 at two separate spaces: the WorkShop Theatre, located at 312 West 46th Street; and the Where Eagles Dare Theatre, at 347 West 46th Street.

All submitted scripts must be accompanied by an application form, which can be downloaded from the MITF website. Scripts and completed applications should be addressed to John Chatterton, Midtown International Theatre Festival, 347 West 36th Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10018. All entries must be postmarked by February 21, 2005.
