It has just been officially announced that the Manhattan Class Company’s acclaimed production of Bryony Lavery’s Frozen, which opened Off-Broadway on March 18 and closed on April 10, will be moving to Broadway. Previews will begin at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Wednesday, April 28 and the show will open there on Tuesday, May 4.

Swoosie Kurtz, Brían F. O’Byrne, and Laila Robins star in this drama about three people whose lives are connected by a child’s disappearance. Doug Hughes directs the production and the design team includes Hugh Landwehr (sets), Catherine Zuber (costumes), and Clifton Taylor (lighting).

Frozen premiered at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and went on to win the 1998 Barclays Award for Best New Play. In July 2002, the drama was produced in London at the Royal National Theater.
