Playwrights Horizons has announced the performers for its annual Spring Gala, entitled “The Highest Standard,” to be held on Monday evening, June 11 at the event space 583 Park Avenue.

As previously reported, the gala will honor the theater’s Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and creators — James Lapine, Bruce Norris, Stephen Sondheim, Alfred Uhry, Wendy Wasserstein and Doug Wright — and consist of excerpts and/or tributes by those connected to the projects.

The entire original 2010 Playwrights Horizons world premiere cast of Norris’ 2011 Pulitzer winner Clybourne Park (all reprising their roles for the current Broadway production) — Crystal A. Dickinson, Brendan Griffin, Damon Gupton, Christina Kirk, Annie Parisse, Jeremy Shamos and Frank Wood — will perform an excerpt from the play. There will be a testimonial from Anna D. Shapiro.

Mark Nelson will perform a special three-minute version of Wright’s 2004 Pulitzer winner, I Am My Own Wife, adapted by Jordan Harrison. There will be a testimonial by Philip Himberg.

Maria Dizzia will perform a three-minute, one-woman version of Wasserstein’s 1989 Pulitzer winner The Heidi Chronicles, adapted by Leslye Headland. There will be a testimonial by André Bishop.

Suzanne Bertish, Michael Potts and Brian Avers will perform a three-minute version of Uhry’s 1988 Pulitzer winner Driving Miss Daisy, adapted by Evan Smith. Dana Ivey will give a testimonial.

Santino Fontana will perform musical excerpts from Lapine and Sondheim’s 1985 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George alongside alumni and students from the Playwrights Horizons Theater School. There will be a testimonial by Paul Gemignani.

Gala musical direction will be by Chris Haberl.
