Broadway Records has announced that an original cast recording of Mad Libs Live! will be released digitally and in stores on December 15.

The musical follows Virtuosa, Gogo, Geyser, and Merrily, four teenagers from Blankville Central High School with little in common who come together to form a singing group to try and win the title of "Teen Superstars!" Set during the live televised competition, the teens realize that the songs they are about to sing have words missing. The audience is there to help them fill in the blanks. Inspired by the iconic "world's greatest word game," Mad Libs Live! is described as appropriate for audience members age seven and up.

This original off-Broadway cast recording includes Jeanfranco Cardentey, Lindsey Brett Carothers, Max Joseph, Melody Madarasz, Zachary Noah Piser, and Santina Umbach, along with special guest Mike Woods (FOX 5 NY's resident weatherman).

Mad Libs Live! has a book and lyrics by Robin Rothstein and music by Jeff Thomson. The cast recording is executive-produced by Kevin Duda and produced by Grammy Award nominee Michael J. Moritz Jr. The album is currently available for preorder at www.BroadwayRecords.com.
