Lisa O'Hare, Eddie Korbich, and Don Stephenson Join Jefferson Mays in Broadway's A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
Bryce Pinkham also leads the company of the new musical comedy.
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway premiere of the new musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, starring Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays in eight principal roles.
Joining Mays and the previously announced Bryce Pinkham will be Lisa O'Hare, Lauren Worsham, Jane Carr, Pamela Bob, Joanna Glushak, Eddie Korbich, Jeff Kready, Mark Ledbetter, Jennifer Smith, Don Stephenson, Price Waldman, and Catherine Walker. O'Hare and Waldman reprise roles they originated at Hartford Stage in 2012.
Featuring a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music by Steven Lutvak, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder tells the story of Monty Navarro (Pinkham), who has received the news that he is descended from a noble family and could become the next Earl of Highhurst. There are only eight issues standing in his way: each heir (Mays) who precedes him in line for the title. What does Monty choose to do? Eliminate them, of course.
Darkto Tresnjak directs the production, which features choreography by Peggy Hickey, scenic design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, projection design by Aaron Rhyne, wig design by Charles LaPointe, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, vocal arrangements by Dianne Adams McDowell and Steven Lutvak, and musical direction by Paul Satroba.
A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder begins previews on Tuesday, October 22, at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre in advance of an opening on Sunday, November 17.
