Casting has been announced for GayFest NYC, a festival of gay-themed plays and musicals, to be held May 9-June2 at the TBG Arts Center (312 West 36th Street).

Corrie Boardman and Maggie Graham will be featured in the world premiere of Revolution, written and directed by Michael D. Jackson. The play depicts the events leading up to the gay liberation movement, which was ignited by the Stonewall riots in June 1969.

Sebastian La Cause, Michael Vaccaro, and Matthew Boston are passing strangers in A.B. Asher's new play Competing Narratives, directed by Margarett Perry. In the play, a reclusive, straight-appearing former gay activist and his exuberantly gay life partner are visited by an African-American journalist who is harboring a long-held secret.

Craig Ramsay stars in A Kiss From Alexander, directed by DJ Salisbury. Stephan DeGhelder and Brad Simmons' new musical concerns Alexander the Great, who is restored to mortal life as a beautiful, gifted actor and is sent to earth to foil the production of an over-the-top gay musical titled Alexander Was Great!

In addition to the three full productions listed above, GayFest NYC 2007 will feature readings of David Hopes' Edward the King, directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne, and The Casserole Brigade, directed by Sturgis Warner. Proceeds from the not-for-profit festival benefit the Harvey Milk High School scholarship fund.
