Kurt Elling, Michael Feinstein, Wynton Marsalis, Paula West Set for Jazz at Lincoln Center Season

Jazz at Lincoln Center has announced its 2012-2013 season.


Michael Feinstein will return to present three programs, Elegant Ellington (April 24-25); A Tribute to Bobby Short (May 15-16), and Swinging with the Big Bands (June 12-13).


In addition, JALC will present Blood on the Fields (February 21-23), Wynton Marsalis’ Pulitzer-winning epic jazz oratorio on slavery and freedom receives its Rose Theater debut in its entirety. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will be joined by vocalists Gregory Porter, Kenny Washington, and Paula West.


Highlights of the season will also include performances by Bobby McFerrin (September 13-15), Kurt Elling (October 12-13), Kim Nalley (December 7-8), Bill Charlap (January 18-19), Paquito D’Rivera (March 8-9), Madeline Peyroux (March 22-23), Chick Corea (May 16-18).
