Kiki & Herb: Live at the Knitting Factory DVD Gets Release

Kiki & Herb: Live at the Knitting Factory, the performance duo’s first DVD, is being released January 15 on the Alive Mind label. It is directed by Gerard Schmidt and executive produced by Stephen Hendel.

The full-length performance DVD will include all scenes from their Year of Magical Drinking Tour and a special feature of rarely-seen footage from their over 10 years together. The pair, also known as Justin Bond and Kenny Mellman, serve up wild renditions of classic pop songs, original satirical numbers, and blazing socio-political monologues.

Kiki & Herb received a Tony Award nomination for their show Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway, and appeared Off-Broadway in Kiki & Herb: Coup de Théatre, the Obie-winning Kiki & Herb: Jesus Wept, and Kiki & Herb: There’s a Stranger in the Manger. They have also played such venues as Carnegie Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, and The Sydney Opera House.
