Justin Vivian Bond, Susanna Cook, Dan Fishback et al. Set for Dixon Place Fall Season logo
Dixon Place has announced its Fall 2011 programming.

Featured productions will include writer/director Susanna Cook's The Homophobes: A Clown Show (September 9-24), in which a misunderstood miracle shakes a conservative congregation's values to its core; Thirtynothing (September 30-October 22), written and performed by Dan Fishback, who juxtaposes tales from the early years of the AIDS epidemic with tales from his own childhood in the 1980s and early 90s; and Mac Wellman's 3 2's; Or Afar (October 6-29), directed by Meghan Finn and featuring Jan Leslie Harding, Jocelyn Kuritsky, Quinlan Corbett , Sophie Nimmannit and Chuja Seo performing an encounter between a young Puppeteer and a Stranger that leads to an eerie reawakening of lost 20th century philosophy enacted by a boot and a shoe.

An additional highlight of the schedule will be the Tango Book Launch Party with Justin Vivian Bond and Friends on Thursday, September 8 at 8pm. Bond will be joined by Kate Bornstein, Nao Bustamente, Nath Ann Carrera and Amos Mac in an evening of readings, tributes and performance to celebrate the publication of Bond's new memoir Tango: My Childhood Backwards and in High Heels.

Among the many other artists scheduled to participate in fall events are Hal Brooks, Clay McLeod Chapman, Gretchen Van Lente, Brandon Ruckdashel, Sarah Schulman, and Greg Walloch.
