Joyce DeWitt to Succeed Eve Plumb in Off-Broadway’s Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage!

Joyce DeWitt will take over the title role in the Off-Broadway production of Ken Davenport and Sarah Saltzberg’s Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage!, at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia, beginning on June 1. As previously reported, Eve Plumb, who originated the role, will play her final performance on Sunday, May 29.

The piece, directed by Davenport, is based on Abigail Grotke’s popular book of the same name, in which relationship advice is doled out using wisdom from yesteryear. The show also features Mauricio Perez as Miss Abigail’s assistant, Paco.

DeWitt is best known for her role as Janet Wood in ABC’s Three’s Company. She has numerous stage credits, with her recent theater appearances including the Canadian premieres of Dinner With Friends and The Last Night of Ballyhoo.
