Jonathan Groff and Norbert Leo Butz Set for LGBT Night at Seth Rudetsky's Disaster!
The musical comedy's cocreator Seth Rudetsky will host the evening.
Two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (Big Fish), Jonathan Groff (HBO's Looking), and John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) will take part in a special LGBT night of Disaster! The Musical on February 27 at off-Broadway's St. Luke's Theatre. Hosted by Seth Rudetsky, the show's cocreator and star, and cast member Judy Gold, the evening will culminate in a post-performance cocktail reception at Southern Hospitality.
Sirius/XM Satellite Radio personality and Broadway accompanist Rudetsky penned the 1970s disaster-movie send-up with Jack Plotnick, who also directs. The musical incorporates a number of hit songs from the '70s, including "Hot Stuff," "Don't Bring Me Down," "I Am Woman," "Alone Again (Naturally)," "Signed Sealed Delivered," "Knock on Wood," "Daybreak," "Sky High," and more.
The cast of Disaster! currently features Rudetsky and Gold, as well as Haven Burton, Max Crumm, Charity Dawson, Matt Farcher, Tom Riis Farrell, David Hibbard, Stacey Oristano, Jennifer Simard, Jonah Verdon, Sherz Aletaha, Saum Eskandani, Maggie McDowell, Drew Geraci, and Ashanti J'Aria.
