Hairspray Creators and Producers Headline ATW Seminar on December 9

The American Theatre Wing will present its second “Working in the Theatre” production seminar of the year on Monday, December 9, featuring the hit Broadway musical . Producers Richard Frankel and Margo Lion, director Jack O’Brien, choreographer Jerry Mitchell, book writers Thomas Meehan and Mark O’Donnell, and composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will participate.

Created by Isabelle Stevenson (chairman of the board of the American Theatre Wing) for theater students, members of theatrical unions and guilds, and casts of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, the seminars are now in their 30th year. A Working in the Theatre series is telecast six times a week on CUNY-TV, as well as on PBS, the Metro TV Channel, and other cable outlets in the tri-state area and around the country (check local listings for additional information).

The Hairspray seminar will be held on Monday, December 9, from 10am to 12pm at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street.
