Gillian Anderson and Lily James to Star in All About Eve on the West End

Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) and Lily James (Cinderella) will star in Ivo van Hove's upcoming West End production of All About Eve. The production will begin performances February 2 at the Noël Coward Theatre, with an opening night on February 12. The run is set to continue through May 11.

Anderson will take on the role of Margo Channing, with James as Eve Harrington. The show will also feature Monica Dolan, Sheila Reid, and Rhashan Stone. Further casting is to be announced. Cate Blanchett was originally due to appear in the production.

Set and lighting will be by Jan Versweyveld, with costumes by An D'Huys, and sound design from Tom Gibbons. Music will be by British pop star PJ Harvey.

All About Eve is the stage production of the 1950 film of the same name, which was in turn based on Mary Orr's 1946 play The Wisdom of Eve.
