Stage and screen titans Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart will star alongside Tony Award-winning Broadway favorites Shuler Hensley and Billy Crudup in a pair of legendary plays on Broadway this fall. Subtitled “Two Plays in Rep,” the actors will take the stage of the Cort Theatre in a double-bill of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, the latter of which will play a brief tryout in August at Berkeley Rep.

Directed by Sean Mathias, Waiting for Godot, which ran with McKellen and Stewart at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2009, will begin Broadway performances October 26, with No Man’s Land playing its first show October 31. The official opening night is set for November 24.

We were excited before, but after seeing the dapper gents of the stage in the newly-released photo (above), our excitement is even greater. And if you feel the same way, click here to purchase tickets.
