Gbenga Akinnagbe to Join Showtime’s Nurse Jackie

Stage and screen actor Gbenga Akinnagbe will join Showtime’s hit series Nurse Jackie during its third season, scheduled to begin in early 2011, according to EW.com. He will play a nurse at All Saints Hospital.
Akinnagbe’s stage credits include Lower Ninth, The Thin Place, and A View From 151st Street. He is well known for his work on the HBO series The Wire.
Nurse Jackie stars Edie Falco, Eve Best, Merritt Wever, Anna Deavere Smith, Dominic Fumusa, and Peter Facinelli.
