Full Cast Set for Talk Radio

Casting has been completed for the upcoming Broadway production of Eric Bogosian’s Talk Radio, to be directed by Tony Award winner Robert Falls. The show is scheduled to begin performances at the Longacre Theatre on February 9 and to open officially on February 25.

As previously announced, the production will star Tony winner Liev Schreiber, Peter Hermann and Stephanie March of Law & Order fame, actor-playwright Erik Jensen, and rising film actor Sebastian Stan. The cast also includes Christine Pedi, Barbara Rosenblatt, Adam Sietz, Marc Thompson, and Cornell Womack.

The design team includes Mark Wendland (set), Laura Bauer (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Richard Woodbury (sound). Among Falls’ many Broadway credits are Death of a Salesman (for which he won a Tony Award), Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and Shining City.

Talk Radio was first seen at The Public Theater in 1987, with Bogosian in the starring role. The play concerns a controversial radio host who becomes overwhelmed by the hatred that surrounds his program just before it goes national. Oliver Stone directed the 1988 film version, in which Bogosian recreated his original role. Bogosian’s other plays include subUrbia and Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead.
