Fable Extends at the New York Musical Theatre Festival

Fable, a new musical selected for the New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Link Project, has added performances to its run at this year's festival. The musical features a book by H.S. Kaufman and a score by Christopher Anselmo — 20-year-old writing partners who have become the youngest artists ever to be invited to participate in NYMF.
Fable follows John, Richie, Chelsea, Emmy, and Amelia — five members of the class of 2014 — as they face the "soul-searching and terrifying milestone in the American culture — High School Graduation." The show explores a variety of themes including male virginity, female promiscuity, awkward sex, college, the past, the future, responsibility, honesty, family and lack thereof, parenting and lack thereof, alcohol, short-term goals, long-term plans, the reason for underage drinking, and love.
The production is directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman. Performances will run from July 22-July 27 at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
