Cynthia Nixon to Star in Wit on Broadway
Nixon won a Tony Award for her performance in David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole. Among her other Broadway credits are The Women, Indiscretions, The Heidi Chronicles, Hurlyburly, The Real Thing, and The Philadelphia Story. The actress is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Miranda in Sex and the City, both on television and in its film incarnations. In addition, she currently appears on Showtime's The Big C.
Wit follows brilliant and exacting poetry professor Bearing as she undergoes experimental treatment for cancer. A scholar who devoted her life to academia, she must now face the irony and injustice of becoming the subject of research.

In related news, MTC's upcoming world premiere of David Auburn's The Columnist, which had been previously announced for January dates, will now begin previews on Tuesday, April 3 and open Wednesday, April 25 at the Friedman Theatre.
