Cuccioli, Rapp, et al. to Star in The King Stag

Anthony Rapp and Robert Cuccioli will lead the cast for the one night only benefit performance of The King Stag, an adaptation of the Carlo Gozzi play written and directed by Jeremy Dobrish, March 24. The evening benefits Resonance Ensemble’s 2008 season.

The King Stag is a Shakespearean-like fairy-tale farce about a bachelor king who wants proof of a woman’s love before he will consent to marry. The cast will also feature Robert Ari, Becca Ayers, Michi Barrall, Sean Dugan, Adam Green, and Jennifer Mudge.

Cuccioli received a Tony Award nomination for Jekyll & Hyde. His other New York credits include Jacques Brel…, And the World Goes Round, and The Rothschilds. Rapp is best known for originating the role of Mark in Rent. His other Broadway credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Six Degrees of Separation, Precious Sons for which he received a Drama Desk nomination, and The Little Prince and the Aviator.
