Broadway's Tommy Bracco, Matthew Schechter, and More to Stop the Presses a Second Time With Newsies Concert

Due to popular demand, a second show has been added for 54 Below's Stop the Presses: Newsboys of New York Rally concert on August 14. The event, which will feature members from the soon-to-close Broadway production of Newsies, will now run for two performancs at 7:00pm and 11:30pm. Yvette Kojic will direct, with music direction by Benjamin Rauhala.

Stop the Presses is billed as "an evening of song, dance, backstage anecdotes, and special surprises from everyone's favorite newsboys (and girls)." The cast of the concerts will feature Giuseppe Bausilio, Tommy Bracco, Joshua Colley, Corey Cott (7:00pm only), Julian De Guzman, Ben Fankhauser (7:00pm only), Michael Fatica, JP Ferreri, John Michael Fiumara, Julie Foldesi (7:00pm only), Damon J. Gillespie, Lewis Grosso (7:00pm only), David Guzman, Jacob Guzman, Liana Hunt (7:00pm only), Molly Jobe, Adam Kaplan, Evan Kasprzak, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Jess LeProtto, Jake Lucas, Luca Padovan, Daniel Quadrino, Julie Reiber (7:00pm only), Andy Richardson, Matthew Schechter, Jack Scott, Ryan Steele, Brendan Stimson (7:00pm only), Laurie Veldheer, Alex Wong, Iain Young, and Stuart Zagnit.

Broadway's Newsies won Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Choreography. It features music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical is inspired by the 1992 film of the same name. It is set to close on August 24.
