Broadway and Encores! veteran Colin Donnell will complete the Encores! Off-Center cast of Songs for a New World (June 27-30) at New York City Center. He joins cast members Shoshana Bean, Mykal Kilgore, and Solea Pfeiffer in the concert production, directed by Kate Whoriskey with music direction by Tom Murray. The production will also feature choreography by Rennie Harris for an ensemble of dancers being added to the cast for the Off-Center engagement.

Donnell's previous Encores! credits include Lady, Be Good!; Merrily We Roll Along; and Follies. He has been seen on Broadway in Jersey Boys, Anything Goes, and Violet, and is well known for his TV roles on Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Arrow, and The Affair.

Opening the 2018 Off-Center season, Songs for a New World was the first musical from three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County, Honeymoon in Vegas). This powerful collection of songs examines life, love, and the choices ordinary people make when faced with extraordinary moments. From the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to the ledge of a Fifth Avenue high-rise, each character faces a new world that follows the unique challenge they encounter.
