Westport Country Playhouse has announced plans to commemorate the centennial year of playwright Arthur Miller's birth by adding one of his last works, Broken Glass, to its upcoming season. Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos will direct the production, playing from October 6-24.

Set in 1938 Brooklyn at the time of Nazi Germany’s Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass), the powerful drama incites a dangerous game of concealment, suspicion, and lies. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Play, Lamos says Broken Glass "is truly unlike anything this great American writer ever wrote before."

The play's cast will feature John Hillner (La Cages aux Folles) as Stanton Case, Merritt Janson (Taburlaine the Great) as Harriet, Felicity Jones (Metamorphoses) as Sylvia Gellburg, Angela Reed (War Horse) as Margaret Hyman, Stephen Schnetzer (The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?) as Dr. Harry Hyman, and Steven Skybell (Pal Joey) as Phillip Gellberg.

The design team includes Michael Yeargan (scenic design), Candice Donnelly (costume design), Stephen Strawbridge (lighting design), and David Budries (sound design).
