Fun Home, All the Way Receive 2014 New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards

Bryan Cranston, Sutton Foster, and more were on hand to toast the honorees.

The New York Drama Critics' Circle presented its annual awards on Friday, May 16, at 54 Below. Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron's Fun Home, which ran last year at the Public Theater, took the prize for Best Musical, with Robert Schenkkan's All the Way named Best American Play and Conor McPherson's The Night Alive as Best Play. Additionally, Richard Nelson's The Apple Family Plays and its cast — Jon DeVries, Stephen Kunken, Sally Murphy, Maryann Plunkett, Laila Robins, and Jay O. Sanders — received a special citation, as did the Shakespeare's Globe productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III.
