Peter Christian Hansen, Emily Swallow, et al. Set for Guthrie’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

The Guthrie Theater has announced complete casting for its production of Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, to be presented January 14-February 26, with an opening on January 20. Lisa Peterson will direct.

In the play, a Southern family in crisis is pushed to the brink by powerful memories and revelations, imperiling an already fragile relationship between a husband and wife.

Emily Swallow will star as Margaret (Maggie the Cat), with Peter Christian Hansen as Brick. The cast will also include David Anthony Brinkley (Big Daddy), Melissa Hart (Big Mama), Chris Carlson (Gooper), Michelle O’Neill (Mae), H. Adam Harris (Lacey),Stephen D’Ambrose (Rev. Tooker), Fred Wagner (Dr. Baugh), Joetta Wright (Daisy), Reggie Phoenix (Brightie), and Sha Cage (Sookey).

The design team will include Rachel Hauck (set designer), Ilona Somogyi (costume designer), Scott Zielinski (lighting designer), and Scott W. Edwards (sound designer).
