Reed Birney and Jayne Houdyshell will reprise their Tony Award-winning performances in The Humans at the Ahmanson Theatre, during the last stop of the national tour of Stephen Karam's Tony-winning play. Performances will run June 19-July 29, with opening night set for June 20.

Birney and Houdyshell will join fellow previous Broadway company members Cassie Beck, Lauren Klein, Nick Mills, and Sarah Steele in the production. As was also the case on Broadway, Joe Mantello will direct a creative team that includes Tony winner David Zinn (scenic design), Sarah Laux (costume design), Tony nominee Justin Townsend (lighting design), and Drama Desk Award winner Fitz Patton (sound design).

Recipient of 2016 Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and New York Drama Critics Circle Awards, The Humans follows Erik (Birney), who has broken with tradition and brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter's apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls, family tensions reach a peak, and the heart and horrors of the clan are exposed.
