Natalie Portman will portray Fran Kubelik in a live reading of the 1960 Billy Wilder film, The Apartment, according to New York Magazine. The reading will be presented at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Thursday, November 17, at 7:30pm. Jason Reitman will direct.

The reading is part of a series in which a carefully selected cast of actors read a script together for the first time, offering a rare chance to see these artists shape start-to-finish performances on the fly, while responding to well-known (and loved) material.

The cast will also feature JK Simmons as Sheldrake, Ken Jeong as Dobisch, Nick Kroll as Kirkeby, Mindy Kaling as Miss Olsen, Collette Wolfe as Sylvia, and Jake Johnson as Dr. Dryfeuss.

Portman has starred on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank and in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Seagull.
